Thank you for continuing to pray! Your support in prayer is so valuable to me. I have seen over and over again how God has used the prayers you’ve prayed to make a difference in my life.
My current prayer needs are:
Wisdom and favor as I continue traveling to minister in churches in Northern California and Nevada and share about what God is doing in university students.
Discipline in study, sermon preparation and prayer.
Creative ideas for reaching out to new students!
Full funding and support for ministry to students at Stanford.
Student leaders to catch the vision for ministry at Stanford
Thanks for your prayers on my behalf! I am grateful for your continued support!

…and I’m home again! The snow is finally starting to melt up here. And just in time for Holy Week–remembering Christ in death and resurrection, a time for serious reflection and joyful celebration of the new life we share in Jesus! It’s so nice to be home with my real family and church family this week.
In fact our family has a new addition–kinda. A gal who is a third year student in the North Pole Master’s Commission is living with us this month while she interns with our children’s pastor. A neat gal, she is preparing for ministry to children in the native villages of rural Alaska. I’m enjoying our new friendship!
My trip was great–check out photos in the gallery in the column at right. Highlights include riding the rollercoasters with Gram in DisneyLand, watching movies my uncle and cousin put together, reuniting with Chi Alpha friends in Bellingham, visiting support team members, sharing and interacting with people at The Chapel Foursquare Church in OR, finding out Stanford Chi Alpha Missionaries Glen & Paula are expecting their second child (!) and the list goes on.
I’ve scheduled three new services since I returned home this week and am praying for God to continue to work in filling out my schedule! Alaska Assemblies of God District Council is coming later this month and I’m preparing for that as well as beginning to meet with potential support team members here in Alaska.
My April newsletter is available under the NEWS tab above.
Young adult ministry continues in Anchorage, we had eight gals at ladies game night last Friday–we played Balderdash ’till our sides hurt from laughing. It’s neat to see relationships continue to grow. We’re looking forward to a week of evangelistic outreach at church following Easter Sunday.
God is faithful. Though the changing seasons, the transition into full time itinerate ministry, and new challenges I’m encountering as I continue on this journey, I’m reminded again of His constancy. He is never-changing! What a comfort! Not only that, but as we come to Good Friday, we’re reminded that His blood is for the sin of all people, in all time. We can be sure of His grace again and again.
I’m so grateful for a Savior who is the same yesterday, today and tommorrow.

Well–it’s that time! Now that I’m a nationally appointed Assemblies of God missionary, I’ll be on the road a lot this spring. Primarily I’ll be traveling in Alaska and the Northwest, sharing with people about university missions and the incredible opportunity for ministry at Stanford.
Here’s the schedule so far:
- March 22-27 In Southern California for a family reunion celebrating my Grandmother’s 80th birthday.
- March 28-31 In Washington, meeting with friends and members of my support team.
- April 1 In Oregon, meeting with friends and members of my support team.
- April 2 Sharing with The Chapel in Troutdale, OR.
- April 24-28 Particpating in the Annual Alaska District Council meeting in Anchorage, where I’ll be presented with my ministerial license and introduced as a new missionary in our district.
- April 29-May 1 Ministering at Sitka Assembly of God in Sitka, AK.
- May 7 Ministering at Jubilee Worship Center in Fairbanks, AK.
- May 8-15 Meeting with friends and ministering at churches (TBA) in Fairbanks area.
I’m praying that the schedule will become even more full of opportunties to minister to people and share God’s heart for students as time goes on! I’ll update you all as my schedule fills out.
When I’m not “out & about”, I’ll be working from home, writing letters, studying, preparing sermons, sending e-mail, making phone calls, meeting with potential support team members and preparing to transition to life at Stanford this fall. Here’s a peek at me in my new “office”.
Thank you for your continued prayer and support in this season! It is only through Christ’s strength with the wisdom of God and the power of the Holy Spirit that this time of ministry and preparation will be fruitful. Prayer will make it possible!
If you live in one of the areas I will be visiting or are interested in having me come to your area, please contact me by leaving a comment or using the form on the CONTACT page above. I would love to hear from you!

Last Thursday I received my official invitation from Assemblies of God US Missions to participate in Missionary Candidate Orientation next month! I leave March 3rd for ten days at A/G Headquarters in Springfield, MO.
During the orientation, I will be interviewed by the Missions Committee, oriented to national A/G policies and procedures, trained in support raising and, at the closing ceremony on Friday, commissioned as a Nationally Appointed Chi Alpha Campus Missionary to Stanford University.
I checked the itinerary and it is a full week, complete with improv comedy, chapel services and a few banquets, but they are giving us the first day to rest and meet the other missionaries, which is good because there are about 17 hours of travel time from here to there.
This invitation is exciting because it is the final step in the process. After I am nationally appointed, I will begin working FULL TIME to finish raising support here in Alaska, with plans of making the move to California in about five months.
Yeah!
