One More Friend

Chi Alpha as a movement has made reaching and befriending international students part of it’s central mission on campus. Every year, hundreds of thousands of students from all over the world come to study at American colleges and unviersities and we want our students to be aware of the unique oppotunity to learn about other cultures, make new friends and share Jesus.

Do You Have Room?
The One More Friend campaign is part of that, asking students to consider investing in a relationship in an international student, to make one more friend. They’ve got a great website, with links to information about how to be involved and testimonies of international students who’ve been involved in Chi Alpha. It’s not just about students though, if you are out of school but live in an area where international students could be studying, find out how you can get involved.

Visit the site. Watch the new video. Make One More Friend!

To all the members of my support team (and those interested in campus missions):

Be sure to check out the SUPPORT tab on the pages bar above.

It contains posts about campus ministry, our mission at Stanford and articles on topics like “Is support raising Biblical?” and “Do universities need missionaries?” There are also answers to frequently asked questions about support raising and links to infomation about giving, including giving securely via the web.

And don’t forget to say hello! You can leave a comment on this post, or use the form below to send me a message. I love hearing from you!

For the Fridge…

Next week I am speaking as a part of the missions convention at our church. I had magnets made to distribute to people at the table I am setting up. They look like this:

There are a plethora of them (of which my mom’s refridgerator is already adorning 12) so if you would like one for your own fridge (or mini-fridge, college friends), e-mail me or comment on this post so I can drop one your way. I’d love to be the face you pray for while you’re fixing a late night snack.

Oh, and if you already get my monthly newsletter in the mail, you’ll be receiving a magnet with my next mailing. Thanks for praying!

How Leprosy Saved My Soul: One Man’s Story

During my visit to Stanford’s campus in July, I had the privilege of speaking at the Pathway Church. Pathway Church is a new church being grown in Palo Alto by missionary pastors Scott and Sue Aughtmon. I “tag-team” preached with Glen Davis, Chi Alpha campus missionary to Stanford University. Click on the link below to listen in on our message about the power of gratitude.
